Technology Article 9/25

Recently, our beloved gadgets created by the popular brand Apple created an update, called iOS 9. I would like to explain benefits of an upcoming feature that has been delayed in this update. Sadly, Apple is currently working on a glitch on iCloud backups, but the feature will be called "App Slicing". Benefits from "App Slicing" are:
  • Removes useless storage used by other apps
  • More storage
  • More pictures, music, and apps
  • Faster download speeds
  • Would be extremely helpful for owners of 16GB Apple products
If you would like to learn more in-depth about this, click here.
Look at the comparison from the storage of universal apps to the app slicing update on the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2!

Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

Created by Steven Bergantinos

As a freshman in Wood-Ridge High School, I've managed to take a placement test in the 8th grade for Ms. Garvin's World History Honors class. Eventually, I made the cut. Ms. Garvin is a kind teacher who loves to run and can be extremely relatable to the other students in the classroom. Throughout the course of this school year, she explains how fast material will be covered, as she has to explain main events during the 1500s all the way to modern day. With her great communicating skills, her love for the Wood-Ridge High School (since she's this school has been a huge part of her life), and the way she describes everything so clearly, Ms. Garvin has so far made her class enjoyable for the students around her.

In addition, with all of the interesting coursework she has explained during the first day of school, Ms. Garvin also explains how the Honors class gets a two field trips; one being to the United Nations Art Gallery in November, and another that has been undetermined. In addition, she manages to get technology running through the class constantly. In class, we've used Google Slides to help make a quick presentation about Renaissance art and have learned about this website called Piazza, which is a new Q&A (short for Question and Answers) platform.
Check out a video about Piazza!

In conclusion, I am ecstatic to learn more in-depth of what has happened before I myself was even born. Before actually finding out about what the class covered, I only thought I would be learning about what would be going on in different countries for the full school year. Ms. Garvin's teacher ability has easily past my expectations, as I'm ready to hear what the human race has gone through to get where they are today.
